Summary[]

The young English Teacher Cécile (Claude Jade) lives in Bruges at the old lady Madame Hanka (Jeanne Perez). Cécile recognizes very often

the silhouette of a strange man in front of the house. One nights she is the witness of the murder of Madame Hanka and she sees the shadow of a man. Later she learns Van Britten (Gerard Barray), a curator of the museum. Cécile falls in Love with him and she leaves her fiancé Thomas (Jean-Claude Dauphin). Later she finds out that Van Britten is suspected to murderd his wife some years ago and that Madame Hanka's Horoscopes point to him as murderer. Now Van Britten's Driver Hermamn (Claude Vernier) wants to kill the witness Cécile. Now Van Britten loves Cécile and the couple tries to escape with a boat, but while a shooting Hermann and Van Britten are wounded deadly. Now Cécile is alone reading the Horoscopes: Venus in Capricorne - cold, winter, solitude. Cécile returns to Thomas.
