- Never Say Never Again (1983) [Maximilian Largo]: Shot by Kim Basinger with a speargun as Klaus is preparing to shoot Sean Connery. We later learn he's dead, when there's no bubbles coming from him. (His character in the film's last scene is clearly played an undersea diver). (See also Adolfo Celi in the 1965 version.)
- The Lightship (1985) [Captain Miller]: Accidentally shot in the stomach by Robert Duvall when Klaus refuses to untether the ship during an attempted hijacking.
- Colonel Redl (Oberst Redl) (1985) [Colonel Alfred Redl]: Commits suicide by shooting himself in the head.
- Hanussen (1988) [Erik Jan Hanussen]: Shot in the back by Nazis in woods.
