Film Deaths[]
- Slumdog Millionaire (2008) [Jamal K. Malik]: Falls to his death in a daydream sequence, when he tackles his brother (Madhur Mittal) at a construction site; the daydream is immediately followed by Dev snapping back to reality and punching Madhur instead. (Dev survives the movie in reality.)
- Chappie (2015) [Deon Wilson]: After being shot through the back by Brandon Auret, he dies physically when "Chappie" (Sharlto Copley) transfers Dev's consciousness into one of the spare robots.
- The Man Who Knew Infinity (2015) [Srinivasa Ramanujan]: Dies (off-screen) of tuberculosis after returning to India; we learn of his passing when Jeremy Irons reads it in a letter.
- The Green Knight (2021) [Gawain]: Head falls off when he removes the green girdle. This turn out to be a fantasy and he survives the film in reality.
- Monkey Man (2024) [Kid/Bobby/Monkey Man]: Possibly died of his injuries after he was stabbed by Makarand Deshpande during their fight. After killing Deshpende, Patel was last seen collapsing after seeing a vision of his mother (Adithi Kalkunte) before the movie end.
