- The January Man (1989) [Pat]: Commits suicide by jumping out of the window after strangling Tandy Cronyn in her apartment. His body is shown tangled in the awning afterwards when Kevin Kline arrives at the scene.
- How to Ruin the Holidays (2023) [Dad]: Dies (off-screen) of liver failure in the hospital. We last see him lying unconscious in bed as his daughter (Amber Nash) calls 911, after Colin had collapsed during foreplay with Stacy Melich; his death is revealed afterwards when the doctor (Megan Leahy) informs Amber, Stacy, Luke Davis and Kate Lambert.
