Synopsis[]
When Nicole (Reese Witherspoon) met David (Mark Wahlberg); handsome, charming, affectionate, he was everything. It seemed perfect, but soon she sees that David has a darker side. And his adoration turns to obsession, their dream into a nightmare, and her love into fear.

- Was filmed in 1994, but not released until April 1996. Additionally the movie was filmed for 11 weeks in the Pacific Northwest.
- While the story is set in Seattle, Washington, the filmmakers actually spent three days there to establish the city before moving north to Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Co-producer Brian Grazer described this movie as "Fatal Attraction for teens"...a loose recollection in which Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon have the Glenn Close and Michael Douglas roles, respectively, while William Petersen is in Anne Archer's.
- During the scene where Steve Walker (William Petersen) is ransacking the house in which David (Mark Wahlberg) lives, "Chucky" from the Child's Play/Chucky film franchise can be seen briefly on the mantle in his room.
