- The Sand Pebbles (1966) [Maily]: Killed off-screen, exact method unknown, by Chinese nationalists over her relationship with Richard Attenborough. We last see her when the nationalists chase Steve McQueen out of her home, and learn of her death when they accuse Steve of the murder the next day. Emmanuelle was pregnant at the time of her death, consequently, her unborn child also died.
