The File of the Golden Goose (1969) [Arthur Thompson]: Stabbed in the chest by Graham Crowden, while Yul Brynner looks on helplessly.
The Wicker Man (1973) [Sergeant Neil Howie]: Burned to death inside the giant wicker man after the villagers set it on fire, after being set up by Christopher Lee (see Nicolas Cage for the 2006 remake).
Breaker Morant (1980) [Lt. Harry "Breaker" Morant]: Executed, along with Bryan Brown, by a firing squad.
King David (1985) [King Saul]: Commits suicide by stabbing himself with his sword on the battlefield.
Mister Johnson (1990) [Sargy Gollup]: Stabbed with receipt pin by Maynard Eziashi as Edward was strangling him after catching him stealing money from his store.
Hot Fuzz (2007) [Tom Weaver]: Killed in an explosion when he gets trapped beneath an old nautical mine in the police impound, accidentally activating it.
