- The File of the Golden Goose (1969) [Arthur Thompson]: Stabbed in the chest by Graham Crowden, while Yul Brynner looks on helplessly.
- The Wicker Man (1973) [Sergeant Neil Howie]: Burned to death inside the giant wicker man after the villagers set it on fire, after being set up by Christopher Lee (see Nicolas Cage for the 2006 remake).
- Breaker Morant (1980) [Lt. Harry "Breaker" Morant]: Executed, along with Bryan Brown, by a firing squad.
