- Ash Wednesday (2002) [Francis Sullivan]: Shot repeatedly in the chest and head by a mob sniper (as a revenge assassination for murders committed by his younger brother, Elijah Wood) with his body later seen when police find him in a crucified pose.
- Confidence (2003) [Jake Vig]: Shot to death by Rachel Weisz, this later turns out to have been faked and he survives in reality.
- A Sound of Thunder (2005) [Travis Ryer]: Playing the same character from two different time periods; the future Travis ceases to exist upon correcting the time mistake.
- One Missed Call (2008) [Detective Jack Andrews]: Stabbed in the eye by Ariel Winter's ghost as Edward looks through the peephole of the door, as Shannyn Sossamon looks on in horror (his body is later seen when a piece of candy comes out of his mouth).
