- Stretch (2014) [Karl]: Commits suicide by shooting himself in the mouth a few months before the main events of the film; he death is shown in flashback and he appears as a vision to Patrick Wilson throughout the rest of the film.
- Tag (2018) [Hoagie]: (Possibly) dies of liver cancer after the events of the film. Ed's diagnosis is revealed at the end of the film, and Ed explicitly states that he may have less than a year to live. However, because his actual death is not depicted and he almost immediately decides to get up from his hospital bed to play tag with Leslie Bibb , Hannibal Buress , Isla Fisher , Jon Hamm , Jake Johnson , Jeremy Renner , and Annabelle Wallis , it is possible that he faked his diagnosis in order to give himself an excuse to tag Jeremy.
