  • Mary of Scotland (1936) [Lord Darnley]: Killed in an explosion when some conspirators blow up the castle where he's hiding.
  • Murder, My Sweet (Farewell, My Lovely) (1944) [Lindsay Marriott]: Beaten to death with a blackjack (off-screen) by Claire Trevor, after she knocks out Dick Powell. His body is shown lying face-down in the car when Dick regains consciousness.
  • The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945) [Allen Campbell]: Commits suicide (off-screen, method unspecified) after Hurd Hatfield blackmails him into disposing of Lowell Gilmore's body; we learn of his death afterwards when Hurd is informed.
  • Dick Tracy vs. Cueball (1946) [Percival Priceless]: Strangled (off-screen) by Dick Wessel in Douglas' office; his body is shown afterwards lying on the floor when Morgan Conway enters the room.
