- Guilty as Sin (1993) [David Edgar Greenhill]: Falls to his death from a balcony during a struggle with Rebecca De Mornay (who survives the fall).
- Goodbye Lover (1998) [Ben Dunmore]: Thrown off of a cliff by Patricia Arquette and Dermot Mulroney; he catches hold of a neon sign on the way down, but falls to his death after losing his grip, landing in an outside fountain.
- Machete (2010) [Von Jackson]: Shot in the head by Michelle Rodriguez when he reaches for his gun in his jeep; we only see the blood splatter onto the dashboard.
- Django Unchained (2012) [Big Daddy]: Shot to death by Jamie Foxx while he is riding away; we only see him falling off his horse.
- Unit 234 (2024) [Jules]: Shot to death by armed police when he tries to attack Jack Huston with a pair of shears. He survives long enough to stab Jack as he falls on top of him.
Television Deaths[]
- Beulah Land Pt. II (1980 TV Mini-series) [Bonard Davis]: Shot to death (off-screen) during the gold rush, for cheating at a card table. We learn of his demise when Lesley Ann Warren reads the letter to his mother (Allyn McLerie).
- Miami Vice: Freefall (1989) [Detective James "Sonny" Crockett]: Dies in a shoot-out in an alternate ending.
- From Dusk Till Dawn: Pilot (2014) [Sheriff Earl McGraw]: Shot to death by Zane Holtz. He appears in later episodes in flashbacks.
- Sick Note: Frantisek Kotzwara (2018) [Kenny West]: Dies off-screen of auto-erotic asphyxiation in his office. His body is discovered by Karl Theobald, Marama Corlett and Honor Kneafsey.
- Watchmen: It's Summer and We're Running Out of Ice (2019) [Judd Crawford]: Hangs himself (off screen) while under the mind control influence of Louis Gossett Jr.; we see him hanging at the end of the episode when Regina King discovers his body, but don't see the circumstances of his death until the episode The Extraordinary Being.
