Film Deaths[]
- Thief (1981) [Carl]: Shot to death by James Caan during a shootout.
- Men of Respect (1991) [Bankie Como]: Killed by either John Turturro or John's thugs. (It's been some time since I've seen this movie, so my memory is vague.)
- Romeo Is Bleeding (1993) [Nick Gazzara]: Machine gunned to death off-screen by Lena Olin. His body is briefly shown when his death is mentioned to Gary Oldman.
- Striking Distance (1993) [Captain Nick Detillo]: Shot in the chest by his son Robert Pastorelli, after Dennis shoots Robert first, not knowing Robert was wearing a bulletproof vest.
- Get Shorty (1995) [Ray 'Bones' Barboni]: Presumably shot to death in a shoot-out in an airport; as soon as Dennis opens the airport locker, it cuts to a film-within-the-film re-creation of the incident, with Harvey Keitel playing Dennis' part.
- The Mod Squad (1999) [Greer]: Shot in the chest by Sam McMurray off-screen. His body is shown when Claire Danes, Giovanni Ribisi, and Omar Epps discover him in an alleyway.
- Reindeer Games (2000) [Jack Bangs]: Shot to death during a shoot-out in the casino.
- You Kill Me (2007) [Edward O'Leary]: Shot in the chest by Ben Kingsley.
