Film Deaths[]

  • Mr. Freedom (1969) [Marie-Madeleine]: Strangled/neck snapped by John Abbey after she's unmasked as a double agent.
  • The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (La Charme discret de la bourgeoisie) (1972) [Madame Thevenot]: Machine-gunned, along with the rest of her friends, by a group of revolutionaries who invade their dinner party. This turns out to be a dream sequence, but then, so does everything else in the movie.
  • The Day of the Jackal (1973) [Colette de Montpelier]: Neck snapped by Edward Fox as they're lying in bed together. (We don't see exactly what he does or hear the crack, but since her body instantly goes limp without a struggle, a broken neck seems the most logical explanation.) (Nudity alert: Topless)
  • The Black Windmill (1974) [Ceil Burrows]: Killed off-screen (exact method unclear, presumably strangled) by John Vernon. Her body is shown afterwards when Michael Caine regains consciousness and finds himself alone in the room with her body just as the police burst in.

Notable Connections[]

  • Sister of Francis Seyrig (composer)
