- The Funky Phantom: Don't Fool With a Phantom (1971; animated) [Jonathan "Mudsy" Muddlemore]: Starves to death (off-screen) after being trapped inside a grandfather clock, centuries before the story begins; he appears as a ghost in this debut episode and throughout the series' run. (Played for comic effect.)
