  • The Great Santini (The Ace; The Gift of Fury) (1979) [Red Petus]: Mauled to death by a pack of dogs when Stan Shaw sics them on him.
  • Brubaker (1980) [Larry Lee Bullen] Shot by Tim McIntire during a gun fight.
  • An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) [Sid Worley]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by hanging himself in a hotel room; his body is shown afterwards when Richard Gere and Debra Winger discover him. (Nudity alert: Rear)
  • Firestarter (1984) [Andrew 'Andy' McGee]: Shot to death by George C. Scott.
  • White of the Eye (1987) [Paul White]: Shot in the head by Alan Rosenberg, after David ignites the dynamite strapped to his body; we only see Alan firing, followed by the explosion.
  • Ambushed (1998) [Deputy Lawrence]: Shot in the throat by the mortally-wounded William Forsythe; he dies shortly afterwards while talking to Charles Hallahan.
  • U-571 (2000) [Major Matthew Coonan]: Killed by flying debris when the submarine is hit by a torpedo. Note: David's death was originally going to be shown but was cut because the effect did not work well.
  • Daredevil (2003) [Jack Murdock]: Beaten to death by Michael Clarke Duncan in an alley.
  • All Souls Day: Dia de los Muertos (2005) [Sheriff Blanco a.k.a. Ricky White]: Killed by the zombies when they overrun the town.
  • A Perfect Vacation (Awaken, Left To Die) (2015) [Dr Walsh]: Shot in the head by Daryl Hannah after his failed attempt at a liver transplant on her daughter Mykayla Sohn.
