- Digimon Frontier: Better an Egg than an Egg Shell (2002; anime) [Sorcerermon]: Killed (off-screen) by the three evil warriors after he sacrificed himself to let the kids board a getaway Trailmon while carrying Seraphimon's DigiEgg.
- Cyborg Soldier 009: Friend (2003; anime) [Scare]: Neck snapped by a punch from 0013 (Steven Jay Blum).
- Gungrave: Rain (2004; anime) [Kenny]: Shot in the back by Ladd (Lex Lang).
- Gungrave: Millennion (2004; anime) [Thief #1]: Shot dead alongside his partner (Christopher Corey Smith) by Widge (Michael Sorich).
- Gungrave: 5 Years Later (2004; anime) [Mob Boss]: Shot in the chest by Harry (Tony Oliver) when his men ambush him and Bunji (Lex Lang).
- Gungrave: Conflict (2004; anime) [Jude]: As he frantically calls Harry (Tony Oliver) on the phone, he gets shot by one of Blood War's (Jamieson Price) necrolized men.
- Gungrave: Betrayal (2004; anime) [Randy's Subordinate]: Killed by Brandon Heat (Kirk Thornton) while the True Graves kill the other subordinates for their alleged betrayal.
- Gungrave: Mika (2004; anime) [Descartes]: Presumably killed on orders from Harry McDowell (Tom Wyner) as Harry consolidates power over the city.
- MÄR: Accursed Candle! Ginta vs. Kannochi! (2007; anime) [Kannochi]: Melts after his curse backfires on him.
- Legion of Super Heroes: Sundown part 2 (2007; animated) [Ferro Lad]: Sacrifice himself to destroy the Sun Eater. (Note: His twin brother was set to appeared in the third season, had the show not been canceled.)
- Blood+: Turn the Palm of Your Hand Toward the Sun (2008; anime) [Karman]: Seeing the sunset with Moses (Steven Jay Blum), they both get enveloped in green flames.
- Code Geass: Counterattack at the Gallows (2008; anime) [Gao Hai]: After accidentally insulting Empress Tianzi (Jessica Straus) while under the influence of Lelouch's (Johnny Yong Bosch) Geass, he gets impaled through the mouth by Li Xingke (David Vincent).
- Naruto Shippuden: Pain vs. Kakashi (2013; anime) [Kakashi Hatake]: Dies from overusing too much chakra after fighting Pain (Troy Baker). He is revived, along with everyone else Pain killed, at the conclusion of the arc by the dying Nagato (Vic Mignogna).
- Gravity Falls: Weirdmageddon 1 (2015; animated) [Lolph/Time Baby]: Both characters are killed when Bill Cipher (Alex Hirsch) evaporates them with his cosmic powers (while Lolph is ultimately dead, Time Baby regenerates back to life a century later.)
Video Game Deaths[]
- Tomb Raider: Anniversary (2007) [Larson]: Shot to death by Lara Croft (Keeley Hawes) in a duel when he prevents her from confronting Grey Griffin.
- World in Conflict (2007) [Captain Mark Bannon]: Sacrifices himself and his company to allow the rest of his comrades to retreat as the nuclear missile heads towards Cascade Falls to slow down the Soviet advance. Once the missile lands at Cascade Falls, Bannon, his company and most of the Soviet forces fighting them are annihilated by the blast.
- Mass Effect (2007) [Lieutenant Girard/MSV Worthington Captain]: "The Captain" is killed by Grey Griffin some time before the player character arrives; "Girard" survives the game.
- God of War III (2010) [Civilian/Shuffler]: Multiple "Civilians" and "Shufflers" can be killed over the course of the game by Terrence 'T.C.' Carson.
- Skylanders (3DS) (2011) [Hektor]: Blows up once his mirror is destroyed.
