- Marked Woman (1937) [Ralph Krawford]: Shot to death (off-screen) by Eduardo Ciannelli's thugs; we only see the thugs waiting for him at his hotel, and learn of his death afterwards when the police inform Bette Davis.
- The Gay Falcon (1941) [Noel Weber]: He is holding a gun over Allen Jenkins whilst he makes a phone call. We see an arm come through the window behind him and 2 bullets are put in his back. The killer turns out to be Turhan Bey. (Thanks to Brian)
- Wake Island (1942) [Capt. Bill Patrick]: Shot to death by a Japanese fighter after he parachutes out of his downed plane.
- Crack-Up (1946) [Stevenson]: Killed (off-screen), method unknown, killer not identified (probably Ray Collins), and Pat O'Brien stumbles across the (unseen) body. (Thanks to Brian)
