- Attack on Titan: Midnight Sun (2019; anime) [Erwin Smith] Has a hole blasted through his chest by Takehito Koyasu. He was then found by Kensho Ono, who begged Hiroshi Kamiya to save him, to which he declined in order to save Marina Inoue.
- Seven Deadly Sins Wrath of the Gods: The End of The Seven Deadly Sins (2020; anime) [Drole]: Has one of his arms cut off and eventually gets stabbed by Shinshu Fuji.
- Jojo's Bizzare Adventure Stone Ocean: Made in Heaven Part 2 (2022; anime) [Jotaro Kujo] Has his face sliced open by Tomokazu Seki while trying to save Ai Fairouz. He eventually survives in alternate timeline as a result of the universe being reset by Atsumi Tanezaki.
