Curly Howard's (along with Larry Fine and Moe Howard's) death in Half-Shot Shooters

Curly Howard (1903 - 1952)

Member of the Three Stooges.

Film DeathsEdit

  • Half-Shot Shooters (1936) [Curly]:  Shot to death (along with Moe Howard and Larry Fine) with a cannon by Stanley Blystone on a deck of a ship; we see Stanley pull the lanyard, then the camera pans over the Stooges' empty, smoldering boots. (Played for comic effect, as are the following).
  • Three Little Sew and Sews (Three Goofy Gobs) (1939) [Curly aka Admiral Tailor]:  Killing in an explosion (along with Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and James C. Morton) when he accidentally sets off a bomb while re-enacting their capture of some spies; they are shown as angels sitting on clouds with harps afterwards.
  • You Nazty Spy!  (1940) [Curly Gallstone; Field Marshall]: Eaten (off-screen along with Moe Howard and Larry Fine) by lions while hiding in the lion's den.  We see them being chased by the lions, followed by a shot of a lion re-emerging with Moe's hat and belching.
  • I'll Never Heil Again (1941) [Field Marshall Herring]:  Killed in an explosion (along with Moe Howard and Larry Fine) when Curly detonates an explosive cue ball that Mary Ainslee had planted on Moe's pool table.  Their heads are mounted as trophies on the wall afterwards.
