- I Love Trouble (1994) [Darryl Beekman, Jr.]: Killed (off-screen) in a train crash caused by James Rebhorn.
- We Were Soldiers (2002) [Captain Tom Metsker]: Shot twice through the back by unseen North Vietnamese forces; his body falls right into a helicopter carrying multiple wounded just as it's taking off, transporting him along with it.
- In Enemy Hands (2004) [Lieutenant Teddy Goodman]: Dies of meningitis.
- The Avengers (2012) [Phil Coulson]: Impaled in the back by Tom Hiddleston with his scepter while Chris Hemsworth looks on helplessly; he dies (off-screen) after talking to Samuel L. Jackson. The television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reveals that he is later brought back to life by being injected with alien blood.
- Captain Marvel (2019) [Phil Coulson/Skrull]: An alien clone of "Phil Coulson" is killed after Samuel L. Jackson crashes the car that they are both riding in; the real Phil Coulson survives the film.
Television Deaths[]
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Self Control (2017) [Phil Coulson]: An android duplicate of Phil Coulson is destroyed in an explosion (along with an android duplicate of Ming-Na Wen) when Ming-Na detonates an explosive device in front of Clark. The real Coulson survives the episode.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Last Day (2018) [Phil Coulson]: In an alternative timeline, Clark is killed (off-screen) when Adrian Pasdar loses control of his powers and cracks the entire planet in half, killing Clark and billions of others. This is explained by Natalia Cordova-Buckley, speaking to the main timeline version of herself.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Missing Pieces (2019) [Phil Coulson/Sarge]:[1] Playing a dual role, "Phil Coulson" dies (off-screen) from an illness induced by the injury he suffered in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The End; he only appears as a hologram to Henry Simmons. "Sarge" survives the episode.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Collision Course Part Two (2019) [Phil Coulson/Sarge]: Shot repeatedly in the chest with a handgun by Ming-Na Wen, who is being possessed by Karolina Wydra. Although he is declared dead, Clark is soon able to heal from these wounds and returns to life in the following episode.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: From the Ashes (2019) [Phil Coulson/Sarge]: Neck broken by a shockwave fired by Chloe Bennet. Although he is killed by this, he is once again able to heal and returns to life in the same episode.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: New Life (2019) [Pachakutiq/ Sarge / Phil Coulson LMD]: Playing a dual role, Pachakutiq/Sarge is sliced in half with a sword by Henry Simmons. Phil Coulson LMD survives the episode.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Adapt or Die (2020) [Phil Coulson LMD]: Chooses to blow himself up, and thus destroy an alien ship. Due to him being a robot, Clark is able to move his mind into a television screen, before having a new body made for himself.
- Snowpiercer: A Moth to a Flame (2024) [Anton Milius]: Freezes to death when Sean Bean tears a hole in his protective suit during a fight.
