- The Fox and the Hound (1981; animated) [Bear]: Providing the vocal effects (snarling and roaring) of a black grizzly bear, (along with Jimmy MacDonald who did the Bear's growling), it falls down a waterfall and drowns in a river when the log he and Tod (voiced by Mickey Rooney) are standing on breaks, Tod survives and reunited with Copper (voiced by Kurt Russell) who Tod saved from the bear.
