  • Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku (2000; anime) [Zarbon/Vegeta/Nappa/Borgos/Grandpa Gohan]: Borgos is beaten to death by Dodoria (Chris Forbis) and his squad. The rest of the characters survive the special.
  • Dragon Ball Z: History of Trunks (2000; anime) [Vegeta/Piccolo/Yamcha/Turtle]: Piccolo is punched in the chest by Android 18 (Meredith McCoy). Vegeta is kneed in the stomach by Android 17 (Chuck Huber). Yamcha has his neck broken after being kicked by Android 17. Turtle survives the special.
  • Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection (2019; anime) [Bitool]: Killed in the explosion of his Batalalan Du knightmare frame when Kallen (Karen Strassman) penetrates it with the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements' Radiant Wave Surger.

  • Dragon Ball: The Secret of the Dragon Balls (1995; anime) [Grandpa Gohan]: Crushed to death by his grandson (Stephanie Nadolny) several years before the events of the episode.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Piccolo's Return (1999; anime) [Vegeta/Grand Elder Guru]: Guru dies of a broken heart after most of his children were killed by Frieza (Linda Young). He is brought back to life with the Dragon Balls in the episode Gohan Returns. Vegeta survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Fighting Power: One Million?? (1999; anime) [Vegeta/King Vegeta]: King Vegeta is killed with one punch by Frieza (Linda Young). Vegeta survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball Z: The End of Vegeta (1999; anime) [Vegeta]: Shot in the chest by Frieza (Linda Young) via laser beam from his finger; he dies shortly after talking to Goku (Sean Schemmel). Revived by the Earth's Dragon Balls in the episode, Gohan Returns.
  • Dragon Ball Z: A Hero's Farewell (2000; anime) [Vegeta/Piccolo/Bubbles]: Bubbles is killed after Goku (Sean Schemmel) brings a self-destruction Cell (Dameon Clarke) to King Kai's (also Sean Schemmel) planet. Vegeta and Piccolo survive the episode.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Final Atonement (2001; anime) [Vegeta]: Killed in an explosion by using a technique to blow himself up with Majin Buu (Josh Martin). Revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls in the episode, Earth Reborn.
  • Dragon Ball: Horrifying Buyon (2002; anime) [Buyon]: Shattered by Goku (Stephanie Nadolny) after being frozen by a snowstorm.
  • Dragon Ball: Pirate Treasure (2002; anime) [Octopapa]: Fried from the inside out by Goku's (Stephanie Nadolny) Kamehameha attack.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Feeding Frenzy (2002; anime) [Piccolo/Yamcha/Mr. Popo/Ox-King]: Yamcha, Mr. Popo and Ox-King are turned into candy and eaten by Super Buu (Justin Cook). They are brought back to life with the Dragon Balls in the episode Earth Reborn. Piccolo survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball: The Last Dragon Ball (2002; anime) [Staff Officer Black]: Killed in an explosion after Goku (Stephanie Nadolny) destroys his Battle Jacket.
  • Dragon Ball Z: End of Earth (2003; anime) [Piccolo]: Killed alongside Gohan (Kyle Hebert), Goten (Kara Edwards), Trunks (Laura Bailey), Tien Shinhan (John Burgmeier) and Chiaotzu (Monika Antonelli) when Kid Buu (Josh Martin) blows up the Earth. Revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls in the episode, Earth Reborn.
  • YuYu Hakusho: Master of Disguise (2003; anime) [Kazuma Kuwabara/Gama]: Gama bleeds to death after being slashed all over his body by Kurama (John Burgmeier); Kuwabara survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball: King Piccolo's Wish (2003; anime) [King Piccolo/Shenron]: Shenron is vaporized with an energy blast by Piccolo, who survives the episode. Shenron is eventually recreated by Kami (also Christopher Sabat) in the episode Eternal Dragon Resurrected.
  • Dragon Ball: Final Showdown (2003; anime) [King Piccolo]: Blows up after Goku (Stephanie Nadolny) launched himself through his chest, though not before spitting out one final egg.
  • Dragon Ball GT: Piccolo's Decision (2004; anime) [Piccolo]: Sacrifices himself by staying on the Earth as it explodes after a final conversation with Gohan (Kyle Hebert), dying in the explosion to ensure that the Black Star Dragon Balls are destroyed with him.
  • Dragon Ball GT: Universal Allies (2005; anime) [Omega Shenron, Vegeta, Shenron]: Omega Shenron dies when Goku (Stephanie Nadolny) throws the fully-charged Universal Spirit Bomb at him, completely destroying him and restoring the Earth's Dragon Balls to normal. Vegeta and Shenron survive.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Saibamen Attack! (2005; anime) [Vegeta/Piccolo/Yamcha]: Yamcha is killed in a kamikaze attack by a Saibaman. He is eventually revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls in the episode Goku's Alive!!. Vegeta and Piccolo survive the episode.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Goku's Arrival (2005; anime) [Vegeta/Piccolo/Kami]: Piccolo dies after taking a blast from Nappa (Phil Parsons) to protect Gohan (Stephanie Nadolny); Kami dies due to his life being connected with Piccolo's. They are both brought back to life by the Namekian Dragon Balls in the episode Piccolo's Return. Vegeta survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball Z: The Hunted (2005; anime) [Elder Moori]: Neck snapped by Dodoria (Paul Dobson). He is brought back to life with the Dragon Balls in the episode Gohan Returns.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Vegeta Has a Ball (2005; anime) [Vegeta/Elder Tsuno]: Tsuno is vaporizer with a Ki blast by Vegeta, who survives the episode.

  • Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory: One-Man Force (2018; anime) [Kurama]: Shot dead by Sousuke (Chris Patton) as revenge for killing Nami (Trina Nishimura).
  • Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury: Keep Marching On Instead of Running Off (2023; anime) [Vim Jeturk]: Accidentally mortally wounded by Guel (Bradley Gareth) in the cockpit of his Dilanza Sol with the Desultor's heat knife, he dies after one final conversation with him.
