Film Deaths[]

  • Henry V (1989) [Falstaff's Boy]: Killed (off-screen) in battle with the French soldiers. His body is shown afterwards when Ian Holm and Danny Webb discover him, and again when Kenneth Branagh carries him away from the battlefield.
  • The Secret Agent (1996) [Stevie]: Killed in an explosion while delivering a bomb set by Bob Hoskins.
  • Shaft (2000) [Walter Wade Jr.]: Shot repeatedly in the chest by Lynne Thigpen outside the courthouse, in revenge for Mekhi Phifer’s murder.
  • Harsh Times (2005) [Jim Davis]: Shot in the head by Freddy Rodriguez, as a mercy killing after Christian is shot in the chest and head with a shotgun.
  • The Prestige (2006) [Alfred Borden]: Playing a dual role as twin brothers, one brother is executed for the murder of a clone played by Hugh Jackman. (The other brother survives the movie.)
  • 3:10 to Yuma (2007) [Dan Evans]: Shot to death in the chest by Ben Foster, after Christian manages to get Russell Crowe imprisoned on the train - the 3:10 to Yuma.
  • Public Enemies (2009) [Melvin Purvis]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by accidentally shooting himself in 1960. His death is mentioned in the text at the end.
  • Terminator Salvation (2009) [John Connor]: Temporarily deceased when Arnold Schwarzenegger/Roland Kickinger (either actor is in cyborg form at this point) rams their robotic arm through his chest, crushing his heart. Sam Worthington later manages to revive him by donating his heart to him. NOTE: In the film's original ending, Christian would have died from his injuries and Sam would have worn the former's face as a grafted disguise. However, this ending was heavily criticized after it was leaked online.
  • The Promise (2017) [Chris Myers]: Dies (off-screen) covering the Spanish Civil War.
  • Ford v Ferrari (2019) [Ken Miles]: Killed in a car crash/explosion while test driving the J-Car at a race track. We see the car lose control and crash as Matt Damon and Noah Jupe look on in shock.
  • Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) [Gorr the God Butcher]: Dies from the effects of the Necrosword after bringing his daughter (India Rose Hemsworth) back to life. He asks Chris Hemsworth to look after India just before he dies.
  • The Pale Blue Eye (2022) [Augustus Landor]: Potentially commits suicide by jumping off a cliff into icy waters. The film ends with Christian standing on the cliff end, having avenged the sexual assault on his daughter (Hadley Robinson) and appearing to prepare to jump off the cliff, in the same manner that Hadley had done earlier.

Television Deaths[]

  • Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna (1986 TV) [Alexei]: Executed by a firing squad of Bolsheviks, along with the rest of the royal family (sans Jennifer Dundas whom was believed to have survived).
  • Mary, Mother of Jesus (1999 TV) [Jesus of Nazareth]: Executed by crucifixion, as his mother (Pernilla August) looks on helplessly. Three days later, he resurrects to his mother privately.
