  • The Executor (Zhi fa zhe) (1981) [Ng Tao] Slashed with an axe by Chi-Keung Wan.
  • The Postman Strikes Back (Xun cheng ma) (1982) [Fu Jun] Hit in the back of the head with a hook by Eddy Ko
  • Hong Kong 1941 (Dang doi lai ming) (1984) [Yip Kim-Fei] Blows himself up with a stock of dynamite to kill Japanese soldiers on a boat.
  • A Better Tomorrow (Ying hung boon sik) (1986) [Mark]: Shot in the head by Waise Lee and Fui-On Shing, with Chow's body later riddled with machine gun fire.
  • City on Fire (Lung fu fong wan) (1987) [Ko Chow]: Shot to death in the film's climatic shoot-out.
  • Scared Stiff (Siu sang mung ging wan) (1987) [Inspector Chow] Crushed the car wreck by Kiu-Wai Miu.
  • Flaming Brothers (Gong woo lung foo dau) (1987) [Cheung Ho-Tin]: Executed along with Alan Tang and Patrick Tse by the police, they died after he talk to Tang.
  • A Better Tomorrow II (Ying hung boon sik II) (1987) [Ken]: Mortally wounded in the final shootout along with Lung Ti and Dean Shek. They die after talking to Kenneth Tsang.
  • City War (Yi dan hong chun) (1988) [Officer Dick Lee Chiu]: Mortally wounded in the final shootout and supposedly dies in Ti Lung's arms at the end. Though unclear, it seems extremely likely he didn't survive.
  • All About Ah-Long (Ah-Long dik goo si) (1989) [Ah-Long]: Dies in a motorbike explosion.
  • The Killer (Dip huet seung hung) (1989) [Ah Jong]: Shot in the chest and eyes by Fui-On Shing. He dies as he reaches out to Sally Yeh.
  • The Corruptor (1999) [Nick Chen]: Shot in the chest by Byron Mann. He dies sometime later in hospital as Mark Wahlberg watches on tearfully. Chow's body is later seen during his funeral.
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) [Li Mu Bai]: Shot with a poisoned dart by Pei-Pei Cheng (who he manages to kill in return); he dies while talking to Michelle Yeoh.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) [Captain Sao-Feng]: Impaled by driftwood from part of the wreckage of his own ship after it is hit by a cannonball; he dies while naming Keira Knightley the next captain of his ship as Reggie Lee watched.
  • Dragonball: Evolution (2009) [Master Roshi]: Strangled to death by Justin Chatwin while Justin is in his giant ape form; he dies after returning Justin to normal and is revived when Justin uses the Dragonballs to bring him back to life.
  • Confucius (Kong Zi) (2010) [Confucius]: Dies of natural causes while sitting down.
  • Let the Bullets Fly (Rang zi dan fei) (2010) [Master Huang]: Dies when the roof he's on explodes.
  • Shanghai (2010) [Anthony Lan-ting]: Shot to death. 
  • The Last Tycoon (Da Shang Hai) (2012) [Cheng Daiqi]: Killed by machine gun fire while sitting in his car.
