Chill Wills (1903 - 1978)
Film Deaths[]
- Western Union (1941) [Homer Kettle]: Unintentionally killed by the drunken Sioux warriors when in a confrontation with the telegraph men. As they loose off arrows and shots we see Chill with an arrow through him at the top of the pole he has climbed.
- Tarzan's New York Adventure (1942) [Manchester Montford]: Shot to death by one of Cy Kendall's thugs when he turns Chill's gun back on him as Chill is helping Johnny Sheffield to escape.
- Kentucky Rifle (1955) [Tobias Taylor]: A Comanche ignores his chief's orders to give the wagon party safe passage and shoots an arrow in to Wills' back. He dies a minute later after talking to Lance Fuller.
- The Alamo (1960) [Beekeeper]: Run through with a Mexican sword and collapses from his post on the wall during the final battle.
Television Deaths[]
- Night Gallery: The Little Black Bag (1970) [Heppelwhite]: Commits suicide by slitting himself his throat (off-screen) while demonstrating the futuristic scalpel before an assembly of doctors, not knowing that its safety features have been deactivated. His body is shown (covered up) being wheeled out on a stretcher afterwards.
