Summary[]
A rock-opera adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello, updated to a 1960s Southwest USA setting. After the charismatic Othello (Richie Havens) becomes the leader of a religious hippie commune, the jealous Iago (Lance LeGault) plots to destroy Othello by driving him to murder.

- The only feature film directed by actor Patrick McGoohan, though McGoohan did direct some television episodes and TV-movies.
- Among the changes to the original Shakespeare plot, this adaptation's only casualties are Othello and Desdemona; Emilia (Susan Tyrrell) survives in this version, and the character of Roderigo does not appear at all.
