Synopsis[]
In this fresh iteration of Mars Ravelo's vibrant superhero saga, the unassuming Enteng (Ogie Alcasid) finds himself bestowed with an enigmatic barbell by a grateful hermit after a life-saving act. Unaware of its transformative power, Enteng soon discovers that this mystical barbell can metamorphose him into the valiant Captain Barbell (Bong Revilla) – a champion for the downtrodden and oppressed.
The narrative unfolds with Enteng's romantic interest, the charming elementary-school music teacher Cielo (Regine Velasquez), who harbors deep affections for Captain Barbell. The film delves into themes of courage, respect, and love as Captain Barbell navigates the challenges posed by formidable supervillains – the nefarious fiery Lagablab (Albert Martinez) as Enteng's biological father, Arnaldo, the chilling Freezy (Rufa Mae Quinto) who is formerly works at the Ice Factory is Roselle, and the cunning monstrous rat creature Dagampat (Epi Quizon), a homeless man Utoy.
