- Bungee Jumping of Their Own (Beonjijeompeureul hada) (2001) [Seo In-woo]: Commits suicide, along with Hyun-soo Yeo, by jumping from a bridge without a bungee rope, in order to reunite with Eun-ju Lee in their next reincarnation. The epilogue has Byung-hun and Eun-ju discussing about their next lives.
- J.S.A.: Joint Security Area (Gongdong gyeongbi guyeok JSA) (2001) [Sgt Lee Soo-hyeok]: Commit suicide by shooting himself in the head.
- The Good, the Bad, and the Weird (Joheunnom nabbeunnom isanghannom) (2008) [Park Chang-yi]: Shot to death by Kang-ho Song and Woo-sung Jung.
- G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) [Storm Shadow]: Stabbed in the stomach in a fight with Ray Park and falls to his death. (Despite this apparently fatal injury, the character returns in the 2013 sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation.)
- Terminator Genisys (2015) [T-1000]: Dissolved when he walks through an acid shower, when Emilia Clarke shoots out the tank above him, while Arnold Schwarzenegger pins him under the shower.
- The Magnificent Seven (2016) [Billy Rocks]: Shot to death by round of gunfire from Peter Sarsgaard's men (along with Ethan Hawke).
- Misconduct (2016) [The Accountant]: Neck snapped in a choke hold by Josh Duhamel at the end of a fight in a church.
