- Comanche (2000) [Capt. Myles Keogh]: Killed by Native American warriors at the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
- The Mist (2007) [Ambrose Cornell]: Killed by the creatures in the mist after he and several others go out into the parking lot in an escape attempt; we only see the creatures closing in on him after he falls behind a car.
- Cowboys & Aliens (2011) [Wes Claiborne]: Shot in the chest in a shoot-out with Daniel Craig.
Television Deaths[]
- Have Gun-Will Travel (1962) [Eddie]: Shot to death by Lee Van Cleef.
- 12 O'Clock High: Decision (1964) [Cpl. Dennis Moody]: After a botched escape attempt by American flyers, Buck is shot by a submachinegun after he had scaled the ladder of an observation tower and falls to his death.
- The Big Valley: The Young Marauders (1965) [Turk]: Shot by Sheriff Mort Mills as he is aiming to shoot Linda Evans.
- Gunsmoke: Vengeance Part 1 (1967) [Leonard Parker]: He challenges James Stacy to a gunfight and loses. (Note: later that year Buck returned to the series as a different and regular character, “Newly O’Brien”).
- The Alamo: Thirteen Days to Glory (1987) [Colorado Smith]: Stabbed with a bayonet, along with Stan Ivar, by Mexican soldiers during the assault on the Alamo. (Historically inaccurate, because the real Colorado Smith had left the Alamo before the Mexicans captured it)
- Walker: Texas Ranger: War Zone Part 1 (1995) [Ranger Logan Reno]: Killed by Tim Thomerson in a shootout with Armed bank robbers.
- Yellowstone: Cigarettes, Whiskey, a Meadow and You (2022) [Emmett Walsh]: Dies of natural causes.
