- The X-Files: Jump the Shark (2002) [John Fitzgerald Byers]: Killed (off-screen), along with Tom Braidwood and Dean Haglund, by a genetically engineered virus emitted from the shark organ in Marcus Giamatti's body, after they sacrifice themselves by pulling the fire alarm, thereby trapping themselves with Marcus and containing the virus. The scene ends with them talking to Zuleikha Robinson and Stephen Snedden, followed by a shot of their funeral.
