Brigitte Fossey in Quintet

Brigitte Fossey (1946 -)

Film Deaths

  • Honor Among Thieves (adieu llama; Farewell, Friend) (1968) [Dominique ‘Waterloo’ Austerlitz]: Shot to death (along with Olga Georges-Picot) by police while trying to flee the building. The scene ends in a freeze-frame just as they’re shot, followed immediately by a shot of their bodies lying on the floor. (Thanks to Quacker and Capricorn)
  • Quintet (1979) [Vivia]: Killed in an explosion (along with everybody else in the room), after Craig Richard Nelson rolls a bomb through the doorway. We hear the explosion from outside; her body is shown afterwards when Paul Newman rushes in. Paul then carries her body outside and sets her down in the river for a “burial at sea." Brigitte was pregnant at the time of her death, consequently, her unborn child also died.
