- Fallout 4 (2015) [Nate/Sole Survivor]: If the player chooses Courtenay Taylor as their playable character, "Nate" is shot in the head by Keythe Farley during a struggle with him while the latter attempted to take his son. If the player chooses Brian, Courtenay dies in his stead, but he can also permanently die if the player does not save at all and dies during gameplay. However, in the endings, Brian survives as the player.
