Bob Morgan (1916 - 1999)

During the filming of the 1962 film How the West Was Won, Bob was involved in a serious accident while filming the climatic train shootout. During the filming of a gunfight that takes place on a moving railroad flatcar loaded with logs, one of the chains that held the logs snapped, and Bob was crushed by the falling timber and lost a leg.

  • Gun Fury (1953) [Lt Wherry]: Shot by Philip Carey after he's been knocked to ground when trying to stop the stage holdup (Thanks to Brian)
  • The Alamo (1960) [Tennessean]: As one of the band that followed John Wayne to Texas; Bob is killed along with the rest of the Alamo defenders as the fort was overrun by Mexican forces.
