Bob Hope (1903 - 2003)
Film Deaths:[]
- My Favorite Spy (1951) [Peanuts White/Eric Augustine]: Playing a dual role, "Augustine" is killed (off-screen, exact method unclear) by Marc Lawrence and another henchman in "Peanuts"'s hotel room; his body is shown afterwards when "Peanuts" discovers him hanging from a coathook, and again when Hedy Lamarr discovers him. ("Peanuts" survives the movie.)
- Son of Paleface (1952) [Peter Potter Jr./Ghost of Peter Potter]: "Peter Potter" (his character from the original 1948 film The Paleface) is established to have died (off-screen) under unspecified circumstances between the two films. He appears as a ghost to his son (also played by Bob) towards the end of the movie.
- Scared Stiff (1953) [Skeleton]: Appears as a ghost, along with the ghost of Bing Crosby, when Dean Martin and Lizabeth Scott see the ghosts and flee in terror. (Played for comic effect.)
TV Deaths:[]
- Joys (1976) [Bob Hope]: Killed by Johnny Carson. (I haven't seen this, but I've read that Bob and all of his guest stars were killed one by one by a mysterious figure who was ultimately revealed as Johnny.) (Played for comic effect.)
