- Akira (2001; anime) [Ryu]: Shot by a panicking Nezu (Mike Reynolds) as he reports to him. Shortly after Nezu commits suicide, Ryu dies from his wound as the crowd marches past him. (For the 1988 version of Ryu's death, see Steve Kramer)
Television Deaths[]
- Digimon Adventure: Ogremon's Honor (2000; anime) [RedVegiemon]: Killed by an enraged Puppetmon (David Lodge) when he throws his cross like a boomerang, completely disintegrating him.
- Trigun: Rem Saverem (2000; anime) [Steve]: Frozen in stasis due to an incident involving a fellow crew member, he dies in his stasis pod due to it being sabotaged by Rowan (Richard Miro).
- Wolf's Rain: High Tide, High Time (2004; anime) [Hubb Lebowski]: Falls to his death as he attempts to scale a mountain.
