Film DeathsEdit

  • Ordet (The Word) (1955) [Inger Borgen]: Dies (off-screen) of complications from labor/childbirth, after Henry Skjaer has to perform an abortion in an unsuccessful attempt to save her; she dies in her sleep a few hours after Henry declares that she's out of danger. We learn of her death afterwards when her husband (Emil Hass Christensen) informs his father (Henrik Malberg). Her body is shown afterwards when Henrik and Emil go into her room to mourn her, and again later on during her funeral. She is brought back to life by the prayers of her brother-in-law (Preben Lerdorff Rye) and the faith of her daughter (Susanne Rud).
