- McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) [Bart Coyle]: Beaten to death by a drunk group of men after he fights them due to them hitting on his wife (Shelley Duvall).
- Thieves Like Us (1974) [T-Dub]: Shot to death (off-screen) in a shoot-out with police; we learn of his death afterwards when Keith Carradine hears a radio news report about it.
- Terrorvision (1986) [Grandpa Putterman]: Head crushed, dissolved with acid and absorbed by The Beast, which later mimics Bert's form twice (to make it appear he's okay).
