  • The Butterfly Effect (2004) [Evan Treborn]: Sacrifices himself/commits suicide by projecting his consciousness back into the past and causing himself to be strangled by his umbilical cord in the womb, thus preventing himself from ever existing as an adult. (This ending only occurs in the Director's Cut on DVD; the original theatrical cut ended with Ashton surviving).
  • Jobs (2013) [Steve Jobs]: Dies (off-screen) of pancreatic cancer; His death is mentioned in the on-screen text at the end of the film.

TV DeathsEdit

  • Grounded for Life: Dust in the Wind (2002) [Cousin Scott]: Killed (off-screen) in a snowboarding accident. The majority of the episode takes place during his funeral, ending with Donal Logue, Megyn Price, Kevin Corrigan, and Richard Riehle scattering his ashes from a watertower. Ashton only appears in flashback sequences. (Played for semi-comedic effect)
