The Moment (2013) [Hawa]: Killed in an explosion caused by a suicide bomber. Her death occurs prior to the events of the film and is depicted in a flashback when Jennifer Jason Leigh discusses witnessing it to Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
Us (2019) [Rayne Thomas / Eartha]: Playing a dual role, "Rayne Thomas" is revealed to have died from old age (off-screen) prior to the events of the film by her daughter (Lupita Nyong'o); she only appears in flashbacks. (The fate of her doppelgänger "Eartha" is not explicitly stated, but she is also presumed to have died prior to the events of the film.)
