- Lee Daniels' The Butler (2013) [H.R. 'Bob' Haldeman]: This character dies (off-screen) of cancer, during the passage of time between his scene and the later portion of the story. (His death is not mentioned in the film, but the real H.R. Haldeman died in 1993 and the movie covers the years up until 2008.)
- You Were Never Really Here (2017) [Senator Albert Votto]: Either commits suicide by jumping off a building, or thrown off a building and made to look like a suicide off-screen. His body or death are not shown, and we learn of his death from a news report shown on a TV.
