- After the Thin Man (1936) [Robert Landis]: Shot to death and murdered by Elissa Landi. It was James Stewart to blame for aiding and abetting.
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) [Phoebus]: Stabbed off-screen by Cedric Hardwicke.
- House on Haunted Hill (1959) [Dr. David Trent]: Killed (off-screen) when Vincent Price throws him into a vat of acid; his death is implied when Carol Ohmart goes into the basement and doesn't find Alan, and is later confirmed when Vincent informs the others.
Television Deaths:
