- The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) [Phoebus]: Stabbed off-screen by Cedric Hardwicke.
- House on Haunted Hill (1959) [Dr. David Trent]: Killed (off-screen) when Vincent Price throws him into a vat of acid; his death is implied when Carol Ohmart goes into the basement and doesn't find Alan, and is later confirmed when Vincent informs the others.

- Rawhide: Incident on the Edge of Madness (1959) [Warren Millett]: Killed (exact method unclear) off-screen in his hotel room by Lon Chaney Jr. as Marie Windsor watched in horror.
- Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Murder Me Twice (1958) [William Pryor]: Stabbed to death by Phyllis Thaxter while she is supposedly in a hypnotic trance induced by Tom Helmore in which she is possessed by the spirit of a murderess.
