Acquanetta (1921 - 2004)

a.k.a. Burna Acquanetta

Film Deaths[]

  • Captive Wild Woman (1943) [Paula Dupree]: See: Ray Corrigan. (the 1944 sequel Jungle Woman revealed that she survived the shooting, but it’s clear that the original film meant this as a death scene.) (Thanks to Bob)
  • Dead Man’s Eyes (1944) [Tanya Czoraki]: Bludgeoned to death with a cane (off-screen) by Paul Kelly while she’s talking on the phone with Jean Parker. The scene ends with her screaming as Paul approaches her; her body is not shown. (Thanks to Bob)
  • Jungle Woman (1944) [Paula Dupree]: Injected with an overdose of sedative by J. Carrol Naish; we only see the shadows on the wall during the struggle. Her body is shown afterwards in the morgue, reverted to her half-human/half-ape form. (Thanks to Bob)
  • Tarzan and the Leopard Woman (1946) [Lea, the High Priestess]: Crushed to death/buried alive (along with the rest of her cult) when Johnny Weissmuller breaks free from the support beam he’d been tied to, causing a cave-in. (Thanks to Bob)
